Iris Kingston, CEO / Certified Professional Guardian

Iris has lived in Whatcom County most of her life and attended Ferndale schools. She graduated from the University of Washington Guardianship Program in 2012. She also holds a degree from Whatcom Community College in Liberal studies and from Commonwealth College in Accounting. Prior to shifting her focus to providing human services, her work experience included Financial Management and Business accounting. She purchased the agency in early 2015. In her spare time Iris enjoys street rods, gardening, reading and going on road trips around our beautiful state.

Jodi Wallace, Certified Professional Guardian

Jodi moved to Bellingham to attend Western Washington University and never left. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and worked for numerous social service agencies in Bellingham. Prior to becoming a guardian, she spent 15 years at the Area Agency on Aging working with older adults. She’s worked for this agency for over ten years. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.

Brandy S. Berner, Office Assistant

Brandy obtained a certificate from Charter College and began working for the agency in 2015. Brandy provides office assistance for our staff and personal services for our clients. She was raised in Oregon State and has been a resident of Washington State since 2007. In her spare time she enjoys line dancing, providing recreational tech support, horseback riding, and volunteering around town.

Sherrie Permenter, Bookkeeper

Sherrie comes from a family that has lived in Skagit Valley for six generations. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School and attended Skagit Business College with a focus on bookkeeping. She has enjoyed building her accounting skills for the past 20 years. Sherrie’s hobbies include spending time with her growing family, quilting, crocheting, and playing games.

Judy Glad, Certified Professional Guardian

Judy was born in Whatcom County and has lived here on and off since then.  She graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in Elementary Education and Western Washington University with a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling. She has been a Certified Professional Guardian since 2013.  Judy worked as a Public Guardian before joining our agency in 2016 as a contracted employee and later as a staff member.  Judy is passionate about music and enjoys playing the Bass Clarinet.  She also enjoys learning about her family history.

Sarah Hall, Care Coordinator

Sarah grew up in Whatcom County in the Mt. Baker school district- graduating from Mt. Baker High School. She is studying at Whatcom Community College to finish her AA degree. Sarah has a diverse work history which includes driving trucks, banking and working at Peacehealth Cancer Center. When she isn’t working she enjoys fishing, camping, adventuring and spending time with family and friends. Sarah loves caring for animals and people.
